About ITI-Tinsukia
Tinsukia is known as Industrial District of Assam having different Industries like OIL, IOCL, COAL INDIA LTD, APL,BCPL,BVFCL,NTPS,TEA-FACTORY, STEELS-WORTH, Dibru- Saikhowa Wild Life Sanctuary etc. In order to cater the need of different industries skilled manpower are being generated by the “Industrial Training Institute Tinsukia” since 50 Years by imparting training in different Long Term and Short Term Craftsman Training Courses under the control of the DE&CT Assam & under the DGE&T, New Delhi, Govt. of India.
The Institute was stared in the year 1964 at I.T.I. Jorhat as guest ITI and was finally shifted to its permanent site at Borguri, Tinsukia in the year 1969-70.
